Alumni Hall Update

According to Norwich Chief Administrative Officer Dave Magida, the Alumni Hall renovation project is scheduled to be completed on August 18.

“Because of our need for beds -- due to increased enrollment at Norwich -- we have been working aggressively to complete this project in time for the new students, who will be arriving on campus in a few weeks,” Magida said.

When completed, the $6.2 million project will feature new windows, repaired exterior masonry, site utility work, and a rebuilt interior, including new bathrooms, dorm rooms, lighting and ceilings.

“The Norwich University trustees have made a major commitment to this ambitious project,” Magida said. “It is going to be a beautiful building when the work is completed.”

On September 22, during Homecoming weekend, a special celebration honoring the 100-year anniversaries of Alumni Hall and Chaplin Hall will be held on campus. Details on this event will follow as they are finalized.
