Lefresne named SID at Norwich

Pete LefresneNorwich University has named Pete Lefresne as its new sports information director. Effective March 15, Lefresne took over sports information duties for the Cadets 16-sport varsity athletic program from Dave Caspole, who has assumed duties as assistant director of Public Affairs for the University.

"We are very happy to have Pete coming aboard as our SID, and that Dave will be expanding his role with the public affairs office," said Anthony Venti, Norwich's director of Public Affairs.

Lefresne joins Norwich after a four-and-a-half year stint at the University of Maine, where he served as Associate Manager of Athletic Media Relations, and spent one year as the interim director of athletic media relations.

Prior to his work with the Black Bears, Lefresne worked as assistant SID at Virginia Military Institute, and as director of athletic publications at Old Dominion University.

"I am very pleased that we were able to find a candidate as experienced and professional as Pete," said Venti. "He should be able to step right into our program and continue to expand the work with our media relations programs for our athletic teams that Dave Caspole has diligently done for Norwich University."
