DC Club hosts reception for cadetsOn October 26, 2004, the Norwich Club of Washington DC hosted a reception for President Schneider and six cadets who were in Washington for the annual convention of the Association of the Unites States Army's (AUSA). AUSA is the Army's professional association, and it is headed by General Gordon Sullivan '59, USA (Ret), who is also the chairman of the Norwich University Board of Trustees. The reception was held at the home of NUAA President Commander Chris "Chet" Misner. Twenty-four members of the Norwich family spent a great evening talking with the Army cadets and retelling old stories. Guests included President Richard Schneider, Board of Fellows Chair Margaret Novack, outgoing DC Club President Walt Gunning '70, former Commandant of Cadets Colonel Tim Donovan '62, USA (Ret), and four members of the Class of 1990. A highlight of the evening was when President Schneider presented Duane Keller, Executive Chef of the Potomac Landing Restaurant, with a Norwich coin in appreciation for the superb dinner. Please check the alumni events calendar for details of our upcoming Christmas Brunch, scheduled for 12 December at the Fort Myers Officer's Club. |
