
The Harmon Memorial is a tribute to Major General Ernest Nason Harmon, who attended Norwich University from 1912 to 1913, served with distinction in both the World Wars, and remained Norwich University President from 1950 to 1965. See Harmon Hall.
Also recorded on the memorial, by year of death, are the names of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Norwich University that have made a "significant contribution" to this University.
KREITZBERG ARENA
Kreitzberg Arena is named in honor of Fred (NU '57) and Barbara Kreitzberg. Construction on this multi-purpose arena was completed in the spring of 1998. The 59,000 square ft. arena will has a 200 x 90 ice surface and seating for 1400, with a maximum capacity of 5,000 for special events.
ENGINEERING, MATH, AND SCIENCE COMPLEX
This five-building complex was officially opened on September
25, 1997. The complex includes one new building known as the Science
Center and four pre-existing classroom and lab facilities -- Juckett
Hall, Partridge Hall,
Tompkins Hall, and Cabot Annex.
Architects
for the project were Stecker, Labau, Arneill, and Mcmanus (SLAM
Collaborative).The complex houses Computer Services; the Mechanical,
Electrical, and Civil
Engineering Departments; and the Departments of Geology,
Chemistry, Physics,
Biology, and Mathematics;
the Sports Medicine
Program and several computer labs.
