Alden Partridge Statue ALDEN PARTRIDGE STATUE

Dedicated at the Commencement of 1955, the Alden Partridge Statue was the first monument on campus to honor the founder of the University. See also Partridge Hall.

The statue, carved from Barre granite, is above sixteen feet in height and weighs over nine tons. The carving took place at the Northfield works of the Rock of Ages Corporation. It was donated by the Barre Granite Manufacturers and the University paid for the sculpturing and installation.



Kreitzberg Library KREITZBERG LIBRARY

Kreitzberg Library, opened in the Spring of 1993, is named in recognition of Barbara and Fred Kreitzberg ('57). Mr. Kreitzberg has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees since 1995.
