Action-packed ‘Revolutions' wraps up Matrix trilogy

By Mario V. Carpanzano
Norwich Guidon staff writer

The final chapter of the matrix trilogy hit theaters all over the country on Nov. 6. Matrix: Revolutions, the very last piece of the Wachowski brother's creation, has you leaving the theater wanting more of this fantasy world .

The story picks up right where Matrix Reloaded left off, then leaves it all behind. The Fight for the last Human city (Zion) is about to begin. Neo (Keanu Reeves), Morpheus (Laurence Fisbourne), Trinity (Carrie-Ann Moss) and Niobe (Jada Pinkett smith) fight their way back to Zion. With effects and fight scenes that beat anything from the first two movies, it is once again a visual masterpiece.

The story moves, with no time to look away or you might miss something, with much of the cast returning from Reloaded, the two movies seem to intertwine. They both seem to have the same mood about them, which is much different from the original, mainly because they were filmed at the same time.

The acting captures the feeling of the time, with many faces not new to the trilogy but new to the screen, such as Nona Gaye as Zee and Clayton Watson as Kid.

With war on the brink, the humans are forced to fight to protect their underground city.

Women (Gaye) and Young Men (Watson) are asked to protect their loved ones and their way of life. The actors and actresses pull viewers in and make them feel a part of their world.

The movie features over 17 minutes of the fight for the city. The rest of the story is Neo (Reeves) trying to understand what he must do to save the human race, and the final showdown with Agent Smith and the mother of all fight scenes.

This is not one to wait for DVD; it's a must-see, provided you have the other two movies to watch before you see it. Without seeing all of them back to back, you may get a little lost in the last installment.

This is amazing for the die-hard Matrix fan, and for someone who just wants some action, it is worth seeing at least once.
