The Norwich Guidon, student newspaper of Norwich University, is published twice monthly and has won numerous awards for excellence in its class. Reporters, editors, and managers for The Norwich Guidon are students at the university who work under the guidance of a Communications faculty advisor. Student editors learn electronic pagination using state of the art computer equipment.

Kelly Chiffer ends swimming career at NU; shatters two pool records in one week

Chiffer's record while swimming for Norwich is proof enough of her competitiveness. In the four years Chiffer has swum for the team, she has set seven team records, including the 500, 1000, and 1650-yard individual freestyle.

NU student tells story of Alumni Weekend DUI charge

NU lacrosse faces financial setbacks for Florida trip

Despite selling pizza in the dorms, working and cleaning for the N.U. football games, and working a variety of other jobs, the men's lacrosse team failed to raise enough money for plane tickets to Disney World in Florida this spring break. Instead, the team will be required to ride a bus for six days.

Men's hockey advance to ECAC East Tournament

Sophomore Matt Schmidt scored two goals to lead top-seeded Norwich University to a 5-1 victory over eighth-seeded Skidmore College in the quarterfinal round of the ECAC East men's ice hockey tournament Saturday evening at Kreitzberg Arena.

NU Women's basketball takes winning ways into playoffs

Norwich University's women's basketball team received the second seed in the ECAC Tournament and will face seventh-seeded Wellesley College in Northfield at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Women's rugby travels to Ireland for spring break

The team has been planning this trip since the middle of their Fall 2001 season. The trip was offered this season because, under women's rugby coach Fiona Johnstone and head coach Robert Weggler, the team made it all the way to the Rugby Division II playoffs.
