Convocation exercises were held
in Plumley Armory Tuesday, Sept. 25. Norwich President Richard Schneider
(left) addressed those in attendance. Provost Hubert Maultsby (right)
officiated. English Professor Patricia Ferreira (above) spoke after
being awarded the Homer L. Dodge Award for excellence in teaching,
presented every other year to a faculty member in his/her first five
to ten years of teaching at the University. Senior Trevor Albertson
(above right) received the Dennis L. Klinge Memorial Award, which
is given annually for excellence and high scholarly potential in history
or military studies. Faculty and other audience members (above left)
