Pegasus Players perform Return to Forbidden Planet to large audiences

By Kyle Blaikie
Norwich Guidon staff writer

Pegasus PlayersWith the title, Return to Forbidden Planet, the annual Pegasus Player's student play got the attention not only of the student body, but also many people from the town, as well as faculty and staff members. The play was held in Dole Auditorium last week, and there were few seats available due to the turnout.

The play was set as the bridge of a starship. The players were dressed in everything from star trek uniforms to completely silver alien outfits. The play made fun of the men vs. women controversy, which sparked great laughter from the crowd.

The costumes were a huge part of the play, along with the setup of the stage. The actors and actresses turned a simple desk chair into the Captain's chair. They even turned students into Darth Vader type characters that were truly scary.

Sound effects throughout the whole play also added to the overall effect of the play. With the Star Trek theme, the sound of the doors opening and closing and the play had a true space age setting.
