Dear Editor: Letters from the NU Community

Dear Editor:

I really do not know all of the information about the Rugby story. I think that it is a shame that students that attend Norwich University would get involved in such activities that they know could end their season.

I do not know who is responsible for having the alcohol, but that is not very responsible on their part. I mean, come on guys, if you are going to drink alcohol, do not do it on the bus ride home from a game.

Even with the strict alcohol policy that Norwich University, did anyone think of the aftermath of what was going on at the time???

I guess not, you were probably having too much fun. I think that the Rugby team should get whatever punishment is given.

If this was anyone's first offense with alcohol and they are getting ejected from school, I do not feel that is fair. The Rugby team should have been smart enough not to drink at all, and especially on a bus contracted from Norwich University. The alcohol on the bus jeopardized the bus driver's license and the integrity of the school.

I hope that this mistake shows other sports teams the repercussions of their actions. It is unfortunate for the seniors that are graduating that they could not finish out their season. That is the price you have to pay for be irresponsible.
