Any student can benefit from a minor in mathematics, as it is the subject that truly pervades every career. A basic understanding of mathematical concepts will serve any student well, whether he or she is seeking a career in biology, engineering, management, or any number of other options.
For a minor in mathematics students must complete six courses of three (3) or more credits each in mathematics (MA) above the level of MA 121 ( at least three at the 300 – 400 level ) with a grade of “C” or better. Students are invited to design their own programs to blend these courses with their academic majors, with the advice of the Mathematics Department.
