Preparing you for a tough world

The business world is tough and competitive. No matter what you do or where you go, you will be faced with some aspect of business, economics, or information technology. The realities of today's world mean that those with education in these fields will have an edge, in both their personal and professional lives.

Learning all the basics

Because Norwich believes in developing the whole person, all degrees in the Business Division require a base of study in the liberal arts, mathematics, the sciences, information systems and economics. Whether you major in accounting, computer science, information security or management, you will have a wide exposure to the basics in all of these areas.

What I remember most vividly about my years at Norwich are the friendships, the impact of professors like Dr. Loring Hart, and the incredible fun we had getting through it all. It was a special time.

~ Stephen Rippe

Customizing your degree

In addition, students can further customize their education by choosing minors in a wide variety of subjects, including accounting, management, computer crime and forensics, computer science, economics and information assurance. Management majors are required to tailor their education by selecting one of four concentrations: Computer Information Systems, Financial Economics, Leadership, or Marketing.

Rigorous, but definitely doable

Norwich business majors are rigorous and are capped by a comprehensive examination in the senior year. While we offer a challenging group of programs, students are nearly always successful due to their own hard work and great support by faculty. That’s the Norwich way. No wonder our graduates are so successful—you generally get what you work for in life.

Help along the way

Each student has an individually assigned faculty advisor from the first day on campus. Faculty advisors assist in the development of an individualized academic program designed to meet the student’s specific career goals. The student works with the faculty advisor to keep the individualized program on track through four years at Norwich.
