The Norwich Guidon

The Norwich Guidon, student newspaper of Norwich University, is published twice monthly and has won numerous awards for excellence in its class. Reporters, editors, and managers for The Norwich Guidon are students at the university who work under the guidance of a Communications faculty advisor. Student editors learn electronic pagination using state of the art computer equipment.

Norwich students are discovering that it takes up to six months to find an apartment in Northfield because of a local shortage in housing.

In an effort to teach responsible drinking in social settings, Norwich seniors who are of legal drinking age are now allowed to consume alcohol weekly on Friday nights for one hour in the new Officers' Call, located in the Milano Ballroom.

Before the school year began, Norwich University's commandant's office welcomed on board two new assistant commandants. Lieutenant Colonel David Ward and Major Alan Lane brought the total number of commandants on campus up to six.
